How to enter
Knit or crochet a simple toy or character of your own design, any shape or size – using your choice of materials. If contacted as our winner, you will need to provide a pattern that will be published in issue 87 of LGC, so our readers can recreate it. The pattern will be professionally checked and edited but you will own the rights.Download and fill in the form below by clicking ‘Download pattern’ and send it and your toy to The Toy Maker, LGC Knitting & Crochet, 1 Phoenix Court, Hawkins Road, Colchester, Essex, CO2 8JY before 21st October 2016.



The prize
As well as having your design published in issue 87 of LGC (on sale 16th December), our winner will receive a crafty bundle of supplies for their stash worth more than £200, plus 20 FREE listings when they set up an Etsy store. Toys that don’t make it to the final judging stage will be donated to the Woolly Hugs charity for their Christmas Hugs project with the Friends of Chernobyl Children charity.


The judges
The competition will be judged by esteemed LGC toy designers Amanda Berry, Liz Ward and Sachiyo Ishii.


T&Cs: This competition is open to all UK residents aged 18 or over, excluding employees or agents of the associated companies and their families. One entry per person. The prizes detailed cannot be exchanged for goods, or towards the purchase of goods at any retail outlet and are subject to availability. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, or replaced if lost or damaged. Illegible entries and those that do not abide by these terms and conditions will be disqualified.
